Nailympion Italy – International Nail Competition, February 6-8, 2016, Rome, Italy

Gdańsk, Poland ( Feb.11th, 2016) – Nailympion Italy is today’s biggest international nail competition in Europe. This year, over 700 nail artists from around the world came together to Rome to compete, and to win! Nail artists may come to compete for coveted awards, but they also come for the experience they gain to turn their passion into real profession.  Over the course of three days, nail artists had the opportunity to compete in 10 different competitions ranging in difficulty from student to Division 3.

The work is meticulously scanned and judged by a 45 member jury, headed by Nailympion President, and Founder – Lysa Comfort, USA.  Nail Artists need more than just pretty nails to win. The judges score the competitors’ work according to internationally recognized scoring and evaluate the work is for decorations, colors and creativity, but also technical talent and precision.

Galina Popadyuk – head educator and co-founder of NSI Ukraine says: “This competition brings together judges full of passion, and dedication. It is quite a huge challenge to judge thousands of nails for a couple of hours. One competition is over, and another starts. 3 full days of work, but I am very delighted, that I joined INJA (International Nail Judges Association) and represent NSI, and Ukraine worldwide. This year French Sculpture Acrylic and French Sculpture Gel brought over 300 competitors. We all were scared at the beginning to judge 3000 nails.”

This year, a team of talented nail artists from NSI Ukraine came to represent NSI at Nailympion Italy. NSI Ukraine’s team members Alla Kinder, Irina Miakotina, and Maria Fiis participated in Division 3 competitions. Tatiana Derebera participated in her first international competition under the Division 1 competitions. Regardless of their skill level, the NSI team members all competed for the same goal, to win!

NSI Ukraine team member, Alla Kinder received the most trophies and placed 1st in the Mixed Media Box category. As they say, the winner takes it all. And Alla did it! Check out Alla’s winning design below.
